I was back in my old high school, but not as a student: I was just observing. The dream itself had me searching around for one of my elementary teachers' name online, discovering quite a trove of interesting writing. He had been a fiction writer and made some Star Wars spin-off story that was apparently somewhat well-known. Apart from that, it was a rather tranquil dream, where I was simply lazing around these old schoolgrounds with a uni friend and the school yard supervisor from back then.

Immediately after waking up, I jumped onto my laptop and tried googling his family name (the only attribute I remembered) along with various keywords, hoping to get a glimpse of what he was up to these days.

Nope. Nothing. Nada.

Since I went to an international school, there was a base of two differing teacher populations: the local ones, who were there through pretty much all of my primary/secondary education, and foreign professors, who came for 5-year contracts before flying away to another country. He was one of the latter. Honestly, though, it wasn't a surprise: this was more than ten years ago, when this kind of information wasn't easily available online; and I wasn't gonna go far with no surname anyway. Still, this is a little disappointing.
