I was walking around town, and found myself entering an interesting-looking building. Directly on my left after entering was a man sitting behind a glass pane, similar to what you might see in an administrative service. In front of him was an excited crowd of young men, all trying to snatch away his attention and have a conversation with him.

I picked up from these bits of dialogue that this guy was the CEO of one of the biggest startup incubators in the country. He certainly did have that Silicon Valley aura, along with a peculiar, assertive personality. I tried to line up behind the hopeful applicants, but hearing about their level of expertise left me a bit disappointed, and I started walking towards the exit.

At that moment, a woman sitting at her desk in the opposite corner of the room called out to me. She turned out to be his assistant, and asked me if there was any problem. What ensued was an interview to determine my business strengths and work personality, in a slew of corporate jargon that clashed with the intended atmosphere of the place.

I left after we were done, wondering why I even came here in the first place when this office was so far removed from what I intended to do in the future. Immediately after that thought came to me, my phone started constantly buzzing, confirming the reception of e-mail after e-mail. Unending spam! I had been tricked like a complete amateur into giving them personal info...
