Haircuts feel nice. I was already long overdue for a trip to my barber even before lockdown started, and the sudden bout of summer heat finally made me pay him a visit. Doesn't help that my hair only gets thicker rather than longer, forming a sort of helmet with no aesthetic benefits. ;_;

Today's tunes: 3776 - Saijiki, or what has quickly become one of my favorite albums of all time. I don't know how to describe it. The ultimate concept album? A deconstruction of idol pop? All I can say is that this is an inherently fun album. The transitions are masterfully crafted. The cacophony of words and random shouts acquires its own rhythmics and becomes enjoyable halfway through the first song. Between traditional poems and banging electronic sections, from January's plain bass to July's guitar riffs -- everything about this album is perfect.
